Turf T20 cricket in Melbourne. High performance camps in Bengaluru. Open to cricketers from anywhere in the world.
One trial. Two squads.
Wed 4 & Mon 9 November, 7:00pm–9:00pm — Cricket Victoria, Junction Oval indoor centre, St Kilda, and Elite Cricket Academy, Hoppers Crossing. The trials pick the HPIP camp squad and the December junior franchises, and every player gets feedback, selected or not.

Wherever you live, you can apply. Where a player comes from has never decided whether they can play here — the age group, and proof of age, do.
- Australia Train in Australia Melbourne Train with the Elite Cricket Academy coaching panel at Hoppers Crossing and Pakenham — as an individual player, or as a touring school or academy group. How it works
- Australia Play in Australia Melbourne Turf T20 tournaments each December and from March, across three franchises, with appointed officials, scoring and statistics. How it works
- India Train in India Bengaluru Eight-day high performance camps at the Karnataka Institute of Cricket, coached by KIOC’s own staff, staying in a quality 3–4 star hotel. How it works
- India Play in India Bengaluru · Chennai Matches against Indian opposition arranged by KIOC during each camp, and four VECL franchises in Chennai from January 2027. How it works
We have done this before Junior players from India and Canada have trained at our centre and played in the local league, and a group of around twenty from New Zealand trained with us and played a tournament in Melbourne.

High Performance International Pathway (HPIP)
Australia × India
One programme across two countries, run with the Karnataka Institute of Cricket. Selected players train at KIOC, play the opposition KIOC arranges, and come home to turf cricket in the VECL December tournament — then the year repeats.
- 4 & 9 Nov Try-outs Melbourne 7:00pm–9:00pm. Indoor trials. Players who cannot attend are assessed another way.
- 13–22 Dec The December camp Melbourne → Bengaluru Departs 13 December, home 22 December: eight days at KIOC, with matches arranged by KIOC.
- From 24 Dec VECL December Melbourne Home for the turf T20 tournament.
- April Return camp Bengaluru Training and a match programme.
- Sep 2027 Third camp Bengaluru From 2027, in the Victorian school holidays.

Player development
From the nets to the record book.
- 01 Train At the Elite centres in Melbourne, or at KIOC in Bengaluru.
- 02 Try out Two trial nights each November, or by arrangement from overseas.
- 03 Selected Squads are picked from everyone who registers.
- 04 Develop Coaching, video and speed analysis, strength and conditioning.
- 05 Compete Turf T20 in Melbourne; matches against Indian opposition.
- 06 Perform Officials, scoring and statistics — performances on record.
- 07 Progress A written post-tour assessment a player can take anywhere.
What the programme does is set out above. Nobody can honestly promise selection beyond it, and we do not.

A league is a big team.
The directors lead the administration. Beneath them, every franchise has its own head coach and a team of specialist coaches, every match has umpires and scorers, and well over fifty people work each tournament.
