Victorian Elite Cricket League: A Platform for Young Talent

The Victorian Elite Cricket League (VECL) is a T20 tournament played on top-quality turf wickets designed for young cricketers aged 9 to 19. VECL hosts three yearly tournaments for juniors, with over 400 junior cricketers taking part from across the country. The first tournament kicked off on December 23, 2024, with boys and girls from Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory took part in thirty-five matches over seven days. Since then VECL has been a permanent fixture in Cricketing Calendar.

​The next edition of VECL JT20 in  March 2026 will be featuring selected 140 players from around the country competing for victory! A total of thirty-six matches will be played on turf wickets. Excitement is already building as organisers promise an even bigger tournament featuring three franchises and a richer event experience. The Victorian Elite Cricket League's success has sparked strong interest among young cricketers, many eager to showcase their skills on this prestigious stage.

As the upcoming season approaches, coaches and players are gearing up for intensive training sessions to sharpen their skills and strategies. The league serves as both a competition and a celebration of the spirit of cricket, promoting camaraderie and sportsmanship among all participants.​
