What the league runs

Turf T20 competition in Melbourne across three franchises, a junior arm in JT20, and the High Performance International Pathway (HPIP) sitting above all of it.

A VECL match under way on turf: the batter at the crease, the wicketkeeper up behind the stumps, and the league marquee at the boundary.

How the season works

Register once, then team selection.

Players register for the season rather than with a franchise, and squads are picked from everyone who registers. Registration and payment run through our booking app — this website explains the competition and hands you over.

The High Performance International Pathway is a separate programme with its own try-out. A player can do the season, the pathway, or both; the registration chooser sets out which is which before you fill anything in.

December 2026 season

Team selection is open to everyone who registers.

Match days are 24, 27, 28, 29 and 30 December 2026. The registration fee is $20; venues are published as soon as they are set.
