    Talented young cricketers aged up to 19 years who aspire to join the Victorian Elite Cricket League (VECL) can do so by submitting their expressions of interest. The process is now open to both interstate and overseas players. We are taking registrations for the next edition. Once your submission is received, our dedicated coaching panel and talent scouts will carefully evaluate your application. If selected, you will be invited to join our elite program, designed to empower young cricketers to shine on the turf and beyond, one match at a time.     The Victorian Elite Cricket League (VECL) is an exciting Turf Wicket-based T20 tournament specifically designed for young cricketers aged upto 19. Running from March 15, 2025 to March 29th 2025, the VECL promises a showcase of emerging talent from Victoria and beyond. While the majority of players hail from Victoria and Interstate, the tournament will also feature a select few overseas players, bringing diverse cricketing styles and new challenges to the field. As a dedicated cricket team fan site, VECL keeps you updated with live scores, player profiles, match analyses, and exclusive interviews, ensuring you don't miss a moment of the action. Join us in empowering these young athletes to shine on the turf and beyond, one match at a time.
  • What is the structure of the Victorian Elite Cricket League and how do the teams compete?
    The Victorian Elite Cricket League (VECL) is designed to empower young cricketers, providing a platform for them to shine both on and off the turf. The league is comprised of two main franchises, the Western Falcons and the Eastern Panthers with two new Franchises coming on board in March. Each franchise fields five teams: Under 10 Under 11, Under 14 , Under 16 , Under 19 . The teams compete against each other in their age group. This structure not only fosters a spirit of healthy competition but also promotes skill development across various age groups and genders.
  • What kind of coaching and support can young cricketers expect from Vecl-affiliated franchises?
    Vecl-affiliated franchises prioritize comprehensive development for young cricketers, ensuring they have access to top-tier coaching and support. Each franchise is required to have a Head Coach who leads a team of specialized coaches, including Bowling, Batting, and Fielding Coaches. Additionally, support staff such as a Physiotherapist and a Fitness Coach play crucial roles in maintaining the players' physical health and fitness. Vecl franchises also prioritize player development through interactive workshops and training sessions. These sessions are conducted by expert coaches, former professional cricketers, and fitness instructors, focusing not only on technical skills but also on fitness, strategy, and mental resilience. This structured and holistic approach aims to empower young cricketers to excel on the field and develop essential life skills off the field.
