The Victorian Elite Cricket League (VECL) is excited to announce the comprehensive benefits package for the junior players selected to represent the inaugural franchises: the Western Falcons and Eastern Panthers. Our esteemed coaching panel has meticulously crafted this package to ensure a consistent and structured development program for our young cricketers. Furthermore, VECL is committed to nurturing a strong partnership with the parents of our players, offering guidance and mentorship throughout their journey.

Key Highlights of the Benefits Package:

• Match Participation: Players will participate in 7 to 8 matches on premium turf wickets in Melbourne, scheduled between December 22nd and December 31st, 2024, contingent upon weather conditions.

• Tailored Development Programs: All players will receive customized training plans to help advance to the Premier Cricket Under 18 Team, Dowling Shield U16, Marg Jennings Shield for Girls, and JG Craig Shield for U15. Senior coaches and talent scouts will provide support for pathways to Premier and Sub-District club programs. Subject to selection requirements of the individual clubs.

• Mentorship Opportunities: Premier Cricket Talent Specialists will be present at matches to mentor players and facilitate networking opportunities for their advancement toward club selection.

• Coaching Support: Victorian State players and Premier Coaches will offer coaching and mentoring throughout the tournament.

• Training Sessions: Leading up to the December 2024 tournament, players can expect one team training session and three team selection sessions.

• Continued Partnership: The franchises will retain selected players based on their performance and provide opportunities for team positions in future league matches.

• Uniforms: Participants will receive uniforms (Playing T-shirt, Pants and Cap) for the inaugural VECL JT20 tournament.

• Live Coverage: All matches will be live-streamed and live-scored, with recordings available for later viewing.

• Commitment to Development: The franchises are dedicated to their players' long-term and consistent development.

• Professional Oversight: Premier coaches and elite players will conduct four sessions, including three tryouts and one team training, to ensure rigorous preparation.

• Team Support: Each team will have a dedicated team manager to coordinate match-day activities, while professional umpires, scorers, and match-day managers will oversee the events.
