Preparing for Success: VECL preseason workshop exclusive for current players!

ree

Hello everyone, we are excited to share an important update regarding the upcoming preseason workshop specifically tailored for our dedicated VECL cricketers. This workshop is set to take place on Saturday, the 13th of September, from 8 am to 12 pm at the well-known Tom Roberts Parade Reserve, located in Point Cook. It is crucial to note that this workshop is exclusively available for current VECL players who have actively participated in the last three tournaments. This ensures that we maintain a focused and cohesive training environment for our committed athletes. Please use this link to register your interest https://forms.gle/JVJyG8h4Y2Fjauf46

During this four-hour intensive training session, we will have three distinct stations operating simultaneously to maximize the learning experience for all participants. The first station will focus on fielding techniques, where players will engage in drills designed to enhance their catching, throwing, and overall fielding skills. The second station will be dedicated to nets practice, allowing players to refine their batting and bowling techniques under the guidance of our experienced coaches. Finally, the third station will feature a practice game, which will provide a real-match scenario for players to apply the skills they have learned and work on their game strategy.

Given that this is a 4-hour intensive session, we kindly ask parents to prepare their children accordingly, ensuring they bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate cricket gear. We understand that different age groups may have varying levels of endurance and skill, so we will adjust the intensity of the drills and activities based on the respective age groups to ensure that every player can participate fully and benefit from the experience.

As previously mentioned, the entire session is designed with the goal of providing robust preparation for the upcoming cricket season, and we are pleased to announce that it is completely free of charge, thanks to the generous sponsorship from VECL. We believe this workshop will be an invaluable opportunity for our players to hone their skills, build team camaraderie, and get excited about the season ahead. Thank you for your attention, and we eagerly look forward to seeing all of you there, ready to kick off what promises to be an exciting season of cricket!
