Workshop and Meet-and-Greet Announcement!

VECL is absolutely thrilled to announce an exciting and complimentary batting workshop specifically designed for our retained players, which is scheduled to take place on March 9th at 6:00 PM. The venue for this highly anticipated event will be the Junction Oval Indoor Centre, located within the Cricket Victoria facilities in St. Kilda. This workshop promises to be an enriching experience and will be expertly led by an esteemed group of head coaches who represent both premier and Sub District clubs from across the vibrant cricketing landscape of Victoria.

This workshop event presents a fantastic opportunity for our talented cricketers to:

  • Showcase their skills in a supportive environment, allowing them to demonstrate their batting techniques and gain valuable feedback from experienced coaches.

  • Learn from some of the best coaches in the state, who will share their expertise, strategies, and insights into refining batting skills, enhancing performance, and understanding the nuances of the game.

  • Build valuable connections within the cricket community, fostering relationships with coaches, fellow players, and cricket enthusiasts that can lead to future opportunities and collaborations.

In addition to the workshop, we are excited to announce that we will also host a meet-and-greet session for parents and guardians. This session will provide a valuable platform for parents to engage with coaches and ask insightful questions about the various pathway programs available within our cricketing structure. It is an excellent opportunity for parents to gain a deeper understanding of how they can support their children’s cricketing journeys.

Furthermore, we would like to inform all participants that retention offers will be sent out shortly to the selected players as soon as we receive the finalized lists from their respective franchises. It is important to note that any player who does not receive a retention offer will be required to participate in selection trials to showcase their abilities for potential inclusion in the team. We encourage all players to prepare diligently for these trials, as they represent a crucial step in their cricketing careers.

Thank you for your attention, and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing everyone at the workshop soon! This event is not only a chance to improve skills but also a celebration of our cricketing community and the shared passion for the game.
