Countdown to the Exciting VECL JT20 Championship for 8 to 12 Year Olds in June 2026

VECL is excited to announce the Age 8-12 Championship! The dates are set, and the wait is over. From June 27th to July 12th, 2026, young cricketers from all over the country will compete in five T20 matches, with the final showdown taking place in Melbourne. We are now accepting expression of Interests for team selections, aiming to identify the top 100 players to participate.

We will be selecting players for the following age categories:

• Under 10 Mixed

• Under 11 Mixed

• 12 & Under Mixed

The matches will be hosted at top venues on synthetic pitches, using a white 142g leather ball. Each match will be officiated by two professional umpires, along with a dedicated team coach and an official scorer. The first team selection is on Monday 15th June, 2026 from 6 to 9 PM at Junction Oval, Cricket Victoria Indoor Facility, St. Kilda followed by the second selection on Monday 22nd June 2026 from 6 to 9 PM at Elite Cricket Academy, Hoppers Crossing. We may organise a third session for inter state players and anyone who cant make it to the above two sessions. Specific time slots based on groups will be communicated directly to you.

All championship matches will feature live scoring and will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook. Prepare to showcase your talents and aim for victory! Furthermore, the leading batter (most runs scored) and the top bowler (most wickets taken) will each receive a cash prize of $250 and an invitation to join the Elite Chennai Tour in September 2026. This exciting tour includes matches against the Tamilnadu Junior Development Team and mentorship from esteemed coaches. (Tour cost and other terms and conditions apply)
