Important Update - VECL JT20 Championship for 12 & Under players June - July 2026

The Victorian Elite Cricket League (VECL) is excited to announce the schedule for the upcoming JT20 12 & Under Championship 2026, bringing together talented young cricketers from across Victoria and beyond for a premier junior T20 competition. Designed to provide young players with a high-quality representative cricket experience, the JT20 Championship offers an exciting opportunity for aspiring cricketers to compete, develop their skills, and showcase their talent in a structured tournament environment.

Team Selection Trials

Players wishing to be considered for selection can attend either of the following trial sessions:

Trial Session 1

Tuesday, 16 June 20266:00 PM – 8:00 PMJunction Oval Cricket Victoria Indoor Facility, St Kilda

Trial Session 2

Monday, 22 June 20266:00 PM – 8:00 PMElite Cricket Academy, Hoppers Crossing

Trial Age Groups

To ensure all players receive appropriate assessment opportunities, trial sessions will be divided by age:

• Players aged 10 years and under (as of 1st June 2026) Trial is from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

• Players aged 11 & 12 Years (as of 1st June 2026) from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

A third trial session may be organised for interstate players and those unable to attend either of the scheduled selection dates.

Selection Offers

First-round selection offers will commence from 17 June 2026 onwards. Please note our selectors decision is final.

Successful players will receive an invitation to join one of the VECL JT20 Championship teams and complete their enrolment process.

Team Training & Uniform Collection

Selected players can attend either of the following training and uniform collection sessions:

Session 1

Wednesday, 24 June 20266:00 PM – 7:30 PM Elite Cricket Academy, Pakenham

Session 2

Saturday, 27 June 20266:00 PM – 7:30 PM Elite Cricket Academy, Hoppers Crossing

Players may attend whichever session is most convenient for their family.

Tournament Match Dates

The JT20 Championship will commence from 29 June 2026, with matches scheduled on:

• 29 June

• 30 June

• 2 July

• 3 July

• 6 July

• 7 July

• 9 July

• 10 July

Match venues, fixtures, and start times will be released following the completion of team selections.
